There is growing concern that traditional dishwasher and laundry pods, which are made from water-soluble plastic, are contributing to microplastic pollution in the environment.

Research has shown that microplastics are created when using the dishwasher. However, parameters such as time, temperature and type of detergent can have a varying influence on the production of microplastics.*

By washing on shorter programs and at lower temperatures on an eco setting, only running the machine when it is full and using plastic-free detergents, you can reduce the impact of your dishwasher on the environment.
