Amazing Race winner Toni Hilland, 39, reveals doctors found ‘tumors in her brain’ – after being diagnosed with terminal secondary breast cancer
Amazing Race winner Toni Hilland has revealed that doctors discovered tumors in her brain after the show’s finale.
The 39-year-old, who was diagnosed with terminal secondary breast cancer last year, revealed she collapsed the night she received the $250,000 prize money.
The Melbourne star told the Announce sunshe was celebrating with husband Heath Curry when she collapsed.

“I had a glass of prosecco to celebrate and I just wasn’t feeling well and ended up passing out in the restaurant,” she said.
“I was taken to the Alfred and because of my terminal diagnosis they wanted to do a brain scan. Unfortunately they did an MRI and I have a few tumors in my brain.’
She is being treated with chemotherapy and a new immunotherapy drug.
Toni was first diagnosed with breast cancer seven years ago.

“When I was diagnosed (with breast cancer) and told it was terminal, I was told it was (life expectancy) an average of five years and now it’s one to two.”
Toni said she wasn’t in bed wallowing in her diagnosis, but was motivated to get out and “seize the day.”
The star ended by saying that she tries to focus on making the most of each day and that there is still plenty of life left in her.

Toni and Heath won The Amazing Race in October with the pair dubbed the “Memory Makers” on the show.
In addition to the $250.00 cash prize, the pair also won two brand new cars, an Isuzu D-MAX and an Isuzu MU-X.
Host Beau Ryan praised the team, calling them “by far the best team” after their win.
