One of Sydney’s most popular fine dining restaurants has delighted foodies with the launch of a new, more casual venue.
a Maryan Italian eatery with a hat, housed in Crown Sydney in Barangaroo, is famed for its traditional, rich menu of local seafood, tableside Trofie pesto pasta, delicious food ‘experiences’ and extensive wine list.
The harborside dining room exudes opulence, with plush furnishings and sleek blue decor inspired by the palazzos of ancient Italy.
And now the restaurant has introduced a ‘Mare Cucinetta’ – ‘little kitchen’ – that will serve Italian snacks, pastas, mains and desserts in a casual atmosphere in its own bar.
Launched to provide customers with a more relaxed experience, guests can enjoy Italian food favorites, including snacks such as gnocco fritto ($10 each), freshly shucked Sydney Rock oysters ($7 each), and a shared antipasto section.
