Allison Langdon is set to begin hosting A Current Affair starting Monday.
And the incoming host got some invaluable advice from the woman who took the coveted seat after 17 years at the helm: Tracy Grimshaw.
“I talked to Trace a lot before (the host’s) announcement and I remember a conversation we had while she was driving before her last show,” the 43-year-old said. the heralding sun on Saturday.

“She said, ‘Just be yourself, Ally, be yourself and follow what you want to follow.'”
Allison went on to say that Tracy advised her to get to know her audience.
‘He told me to listen to the ACA audience; They’re smart, they know what they’re talking about, but find your own way and be authentic,’ Allison explained.

“Be real and be yourself is what she said,” he added.
Channel Nine confirmed in December that Ally will step down from her co-hosting role on Today to replace outgoing ACA presenter Grimshaw, 62.
60 Minutes reporter Sarah Abo will step in to take Ally’s place alongside Karl as Today’s new co-host.
