Alison then explained that she only charged Aidan £40 a month and ‘taught’ him that nothing in life is free, adding: ‘He’s getting a good deal!’

She further revealed that he pays her in cash, which she uses for beauty treatments.

Speaking about the Podcast for the hell of parentinghosted by comedians Rob Beckett and Josh Widdicombe, Alison spoke about the arrangement.

She confessed, “I absolutely love it. I’m going to get my eyebrows done, I’m going to get my nails done and I’ll pay cash, perfect.’

The former Strictly Come Dancing contestant also revealed that Aidan – who she calls her ‘greatest achievement’ – watches football on SkyTV, for which she charges him another £30 a month.

Alison is estimated to have a net worth of as much as £4million and says she believes it is important for her only child to learn to ‘pay for his money’, laughingly calling herself ‘the landlady’.

Also during the podcast, Alison broke her silence about her new romance with toyboy boyfriend David Putman, 26.

David is believed to be around 20 years younger than Alison and is said to be ‘happier than ever’ with her new partner after a ‘turbulent love life’.

The Brummie-born presenter has been dating the Russian masseur since she booked him for a £150 massage and they hit it off.

Their friendship is said to have turned romantic at the end of last year, despite the 23-year age difference between the two.

During the podcast, Rob and Josh interviewed the TV star as they asked: “Are you single Alison?”

She acted coy and said, “No…I’m not single…I’m dating. I’m dating!’

Alison is mother to her only child, Aidan, whom she shares with her former husband Noureddine Boufaied, and Rob and Josh asked about the complexities of dating now that her son is almost an adult.

At 19, Aidan is only a few years younger than her new boyfriend David, who is believed to be in his mid-20s.

Alison explained the struggle and confessed: “It’s harder, he’s more verbal now that he’s older. He will want to know who this person is and he will want to meet him.

‘It’s a lot more difficult. He wants to know that this man treats me well.

‘The person I’m seeing at the moment is on his Instagram saying, “Yes, I like him, he’s not too in your face”. Aidan is working on it.”

Last month, Alison shared photos of her and David together on social media, including one of them cozying up with their arms around each other during a country walk.

Discussing the first time David and her son met, she revealed: “When they met he really liked him, he really thought he was nice, so that’s nice.

‘Thank God! Because Aidan normally hates everyone I date and is literally just not interested.

“And at that point you just know, if Aidan doesn’t like them, this isn’t going to work. There are times when I think, “Who’s the parent here?!”

‘It’s nice, because I always have the feeling that someone is watching over me and protecting me.’
