Al-Ittihad have made a choice for another Liverpool player, with the Saudi squad interested in Ibrahima Konate.
With the PIF-funded team already plotting a huge move for Mo Salah, they are targeting another of Jurgen Klopp’s side. RMC.
They report that Al-Ittihad is moving on after a big bid was turned down by Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo and have identified Konate as another option, who also has a stake in Joe Gomez.
The Frenchman has three years left on his current contract and remains a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans, making it highly unlikely he would leave.
No doubt the Reds will welcome no more troubling attention to any of their stars, as they have already insisted that Salah is not for sale.

The reigning Saudi Pro League champion is trying to make the Egyptian the highest paid player in the country.
Al-Ittihad has already taken over Fabinho from the Reds this summer and it is clear that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are looking to raid the Premier League squad again.
It seems that Gomez is the more likely of the two centre-backs to leave as he made just 15 appearances in the Premier League last season and is eager to play more regular football.
But with Liverpool interested in bringing in another defender there would be little point in weakening themselves further at the back.
Virgil van Dijk’s red card in the 2-1 win over Newcastle at St James’ Park also makes Gomez less likely to leave, as well as being able to play at right-back if needed.
With the transfer deadline approaching, all eyes will be on Salah in what could be a dramatic few days.
Jamie Carragher thinks it would cost £150m for Liverpool to break up and claims the right winger is ‘going nowhere’.
And Chris Sutton thinks he would ‘get Liverpool dirty’, telling Mail Sport’s brand new podcast It’s All Kicking Off that the Egyptian would let them down.
Salah (pictured on a recent trip to London) has given no indication he wants to leave Anfield
Liverpool have huge wealth on the attacking side of the pitch, but Salah remains the jewel in the crown.
His durability and consistent effort from the flank make him vital to Liverpool’s ambitions and it would certainly be too late in the transfer window to replace him.
While the Reds are keeping their footing on the ground, former Premier League midfielder Jan Aage Fjortoft claims he is likely to leave before the transfer window closes.
“I understand it is likely that Salah will leave Liverpool this week,” he wrote on Twitter.
