AFLW star Moana Hope talks about balancing work and being a single mom after her shock split from model wife Isabella Carlstrom

Moana Hope has shared a candid confession after divorcing her model wife Isabella Carlstrom.

The AFLW star, 35, looked exhausted as she took to her Instagram story on Friday to talk about juggling work and parenting.

‘I’m cooked. I’m pretty exhausted. I’ve had a huge week at work – my days at work start at 5am and I don’t finish until 7pm,” she began.

“So I need a really big sleep. That’s not possible, by the way. they are things mothers dream of – eight hours of sleep – not possible.

“But I’m glad it’s Friday because I’m done for the week.”

It comes after Moana appeared to confirm the rumors that she had split from Isabella by changing her Instagram bio to an emoji of a single woman and two kids.

Moana’s Instagram bio previously included a mention of her wife.

She last shared family photos with Isabella and their daughter Svea on April 17 as part of a Mother’s Day campaign for Pandora.

The sportster and the model got married in August 2019.

Isabella gave birth to their daughter Svea in November 2020 and Moana was carrying their son Ahi, whom they welcomed in June last year.

Moana and Isabella underwent IVF to conceive their two children with the same donor.

In a raw conversation with Dr. Golly and the Experts several weeks ago, Moana said her postpartum depression was so severe that she nearly abandoned her family.

“I just had moments where I felt like I wasn’t good enough to be [the children’s] mom. I have to go. It was about three times in total,” she revealed.

“I almost got in a car and drove off because I just felt like I wouldn’t be a good mom to it [Ahi]. It was fear.’

The retired athlete went on to say that her postpartum depression went hand in hand with her “anxiety” and “childhood trauma.”

In an emotional moment, she confessed that she was “physically abused” for much of my childhood.

“My anxiety got so bad I thought I was going to wake up and inherit [the abuser’s] fury. So I used to think, “I don’t want to be around my kids when I turn into [that]’ she confessed.

Isabella then revealed that she knew Moana’s childhood trauma would be “caused” by the “trauma” of childbirth and asked her to see a “psychiatrist” about it.

The podcast was released on Wednesday, but Daily Mail Australia understands it was recorded just weeks before their rumored split.

The couple married in August 2019 in an intimate ceremony. Isabella gave birth to their daughter Svea in November 2020 and Moana gave birth to son Ahi, whom they welcomed in June last year.
