AFL star Gary Ablett Jr. enjoys a day at the playground with son Levi

Jordan Ablett shared an adorable photo of her AFL husband Gary enjoying a fun day out at the playground with their son Levi, four.

The mother-of-two shared a carousel of snaps with her Instagram followers on Tuesday, gushing about her sweet family.

The photos show former Geelong player Gary smiling and laughing on a swing with his loving son on his lap.

The couple, who also share daughter Grace, and are expecting their third child later this year, have been open about both the joys and struggles of parenthood.

Levi has a degenerative disease that severely affects his respiratory system, and while Jordan has not revealed what it is, she often shares the difficulties his diagnosis brings.

He has never been able to speak because of this illness, and the mother said it is unlikely he ever will.

In April, Jordan shared an adorable photo of her son and said she often wonders what he’s thinking.

“This is a shot of Levi watching other kids play together,” she captioned the photo.

“I often wonder what’s going through his mind as he watches and if he thinks about how they do things he wants to do but can’t, and while I don’t have the answer, one thing I do know that whatever it is that he thinks, it’s obviously beautiful and it makes him happy, which makes me happy.

“He’s just the perfect example of finding joy in the little things, how to be happy for others, no matter what our own circumstances are like and how actions speak louder than words – I learned so much from my boy without he ever said a single!’

Jordan revealed in April last year that it’s unlikely he’ll ever learn to talk.

“It’s very difficult from a practical point of view, but also very difficult to just be his mother and not be able to hear his voice or know what he needs,” she told The Herald Sun in an emotional interview.

“When he gets upset, I have to guess what the problem is,” continued Jordan, who has been married to AFL legend Gary since 2016.

“It’s hard too, because I’d like to just hear his thoughts, have a conversation with my boy, and for us to know that he understands how much we love him.”
