Afghan Gold Star families want ‘strong leader’ Trump back in office, reveal Biden is STILL ignoring their calls to meet

Relatives of the 13 soldiers who died during the failed withdrawal from Afghanistan are supporting Donald Trump at the Republican Party Convention.

The families spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, minutes before Trump entered the arena on the second night of the convention.

Their children were among the 13 Americans and about 170 Afghans killed days later when a suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in August 2021. To date, no Biden administration official has taken responsibility for the loss of life.

Darin Hoover, who lost his son Taylor Hoover, a 31-year-old Marine Corps sergeant, in the attack, said he wants to make sure “what happened to our children never happens again” by getting Trump re-elected.

“Of course, war is hell and we are going to lose people,” he continued, “but not in the way our children died.”

“I’m here because Trump speaks for me, he speaks for my morals, my beliefs. He speaks the truth,” Taylor’s sister Coral Doolittle told DailyMail.com.

Herman Lopez said ‘Joe Biden dropped the ball’ and there is no ‘confidence’ left in his administration

“We’re here to support Trump because we need change. We need someone who cares about veterans, cares about our military, cares about our military families… and we know he’s going to do that for us,” added Kelly Barnett, Taylor’s mother.

“I support Trump because for the last three years, now that my son is gone, we have been reaching out to him, President Joe Biden, and he still hasn’t even returned our calls or asked us to meet with us,” revealed Alicia Lopez, mother of Marine Corporal Hunter Lopez.

She said that in the “almost three years since we’ve lost our children,” President Trump “is the only one who has come to us and asked how we’re doing.”

Her husband Herman Lopez said that “Joe Biden has dropped the ball” and that there is no “confidence” left in his administration.

“We need a leader we can trust,” he continued.

Christy Shamblin, mother-in-law of 23-year-old Sgt. Nicole Gee, told DailyMail.com she supports Trump because he supports “our veterans and members of the armed forces.”

“The current administration has turned its back on them,” but not Trump, she said. He would not allow the Taliban to injure “one hair on the head of an American service member.”

Cheryl Jules added: ‘As soon as Trump left, everything went to hell and our children are dead because of it’

Cheryl Juels, Gee’s aunt, added: “When Trump left, everything went downhill and our children are dead because of it.”

‘He is a strong leader… our enemies are not afraid of us, they are all working together and it is only a matter of time before we end up in a third world war.’

She added that it “didn’t matter to Biden” when their children’s caskets came off the military plane.

Biden faced heavy criticism after video of him as he looks at his watch during the dignified transfer ceremony for fallen soldiers from Afghanistan in Dover, Delaware.

When asked by DailyMail.com about Biden’s horrific debate gaffe that “no service member has died” during his term, Shamblin said he “ignores” the military.

“It didn’t surprise us at all, it’s just another lie he’s spreading,” Jules said.

She called it “disgusting” that the Biden administration was abandoning its allies and partners in Afghanistan during the withdrawal.
