Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston delved into their decades-long friendship and recent on-screen collaboration in interviews ahead of their new Netflix comedy Murder Mystery 2.
But while chatting with USA Today About the movie, Sandler, 56, joked that the two are still awkward when it comes to filming kiss scenes, which they have done in all three of their movies together. ‘
The former Saturday Night Live star joked that Jennifer, 54, was overly excited when it came time to film her kissing scene in the Murder Mystery sequel.
“For God’s sake, keep your mouth shut,” he recalls telling her. He was so wide! Every time, she’d come with a big, wide mouth, and I’d be like, “Who-ho-ho-ho-ho, whoa! What are we doing?”
Sandler also revealed that filming scenes with Aniston led to him getting injured.

“Jennifer kicked me in the ribs in one take,” he shared, while saying that Mark Strong, who plays a member of the British Special Air Service (SAS), accidentally punched him in the face during a fight scene.
All accidents! Jennifer chimed in.
Mark “didn’t mean it, but it happened,” Sandler added. ‘He broke me good.’
Things turned comically awkward between the old friends when Sandler mentioned that he had given his friends and co-stars Kevin James, Chris Rock and David Spade Maserati sports cars after they appeared with him in the 2010 comedy Grown Ups.
“You haven’t bought the Maserati yet?” Sandler asked Aniston as she left her mouth open in mock shock. ‘When you get home tonight!’
—Did you buy Maseratis for your co-stars? she reiterated.
Sandler saved face when Aniston faked walking out of the interview by joking that he had tried to give her similar gifts.
‘Do you want to know the truth with Jennifer? I bought him three Ferraris,’ she said, prefacing the joke. “Every time I take it there, a guy comes out and says, ‘Hey, get that out of here,’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, this is a gift.
And the guy says, “Come on, keep going.” So I rode him like a ghost down the hill,’ he said as she pushed herself out of her saddle.
Oh! She also shared that “Jennifer kicked me in the ribs in one take.” Things got comically awkward when she mentioned that she had given her Grown Ups co-stars Maseratis.

The two seemed to have an easy relationship, something they have developed over the decades after first meeting in their early 20s in Los Angeles.
They first appeared together in 2011’s Just Go With It, and have since built a strong on-screen partnership with their two Murder Mystery movies.
In the new film, they play married couple Nick and Audrey Spitz, who have since become private detectives since the events of the first film. The two are invited to the destination wedding of Maharaja Vikram Govindan (Adeel Akhtar), who is kidnapped before the ceremony, forcing them to go into detective mode.
