Shots fired in ‘feud’ between Abbie Chatfield and her former radio presenter Rohan Edwards as he targets ‘people who don’t want you to win’… a week after his sudden departure
Abbie Chatfield’s troubled radio show has been rocked for more drama with her former co-presenter publicly lashing out at her after his departure last week.
Rohan Edwards abruptly signed off Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield last Monday, with his departure announced in an email to Hit Network staff.
A Southern Cross Australia spokesman said he would be leaving to pursue his own projects and would not get caught up in rumors of a feud with Chatfield.
But Edwards has apparently confirmed there is bad blood between the two, sharing a cryptic Instagram post today, targeting people trying to stop him.
The broadcaster and DJ shared a meme reading ‘Stop hanging around people who don’t want you to win’ – in a post that many Instagram sleuths suspected was aimed at Chatfield.

Edwards had followed Max Corstorphan, the founder of Hot Nights, out the door. Corstorphan has since been replaced by new EP Brooke Taylor, whose appointment was announced Monday.
Edwards’ departure was confirmed in an email to Hit Network staff on 17 April, the day all major radio programs returned from the two-week Easter survey break.
Edwards had been off the air without explanation the week before the poll break, with another presenter, Nic Kelly filling in for him.

“Nobody knows for sure what’s going on. Abbie seems to be getting on well with Rohan on air, but people are wondering if things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes,” said a source.
An SCA spokesperson said last week: ‘Rohan Edwards has made the decision to step down from his role as host of the Hit Network’s Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield show to pursue other interests.
“The Hit Network wishes Rohan all the best for his future.”
No reason was given for Corstorphan’s departure several weeks earlier.

Chatfield broke into the entertainment industry with her blockbuster podcast It’s a Lot, which launched shortly after her appearance on The Bachelor.
The podcast was eventually picked up by SCA-owned “audio destination” LiSTNR, which led to her hosting her own radio show Hot Nights with Abbie Chatfield.
Chatfield, who had never hosted a radio show prior to Hot Nights, will air weeknights starting at 7 p.m. as he continues to tape episodes of It’s a Lot.
