Abbie Chatfield is seen for the first time since her clothing label’s Instagram account went quiet

Abbie Chatfield has been spotted for the first time since her radio co-host abruptly stepped down and it was reported that her fashion label appears to be closing its doors.

The 27-year-old influencer and podcast host appeared stressed as she took her dog for a walk along Tamarama Beach on Thursday.

Chatfield looked dejected as she walked along the coast in a black sports top and tiny shorts.

She completed her look with a pair of comfy black sneakers and wandered around looking at her phone.

That was reported on Thursday Verbose the Label, the fashion brand of Abbieseems to close the doors.

She launched the size-inclusive range less than a year ago, but it now looks like the business could wind down as Chatfield juggles multiple other commitments, including a national radio show and TV hosting gigs.

The brand’s official Instagram page hasn’t had a new grid post since March 6, and the products have been marked down on the label’s website and listed as “final sale.”

The latest post has received several responses from customers making claims about missing orders, returns and refunds, and unresponsive emails.

However, the label and Chatfield have responded to these complaints, apologizing for delays and making sure customers are being listened to.

“Can someone reply to my DM about a missing order from November?” one user wrote on the label’s last Instagram post from six weeks ago.

“Yeah, I’ve emailed about my pre-order too and haven’t heard anything yet!” added another.

The sighting comes after it was reported that Verbose the Label, Abbie’s fashion brand, appears to be closing its doors

“Hello @verbosethelabel, can someone respond to my emails or DMs about my missing order from three months ago?” asked a customer.

Another ranted, “I’ve kept all 36 responses from the past 11 weeks from people asking for refunds, returns, comments and… there was radio silence.”

“As valued, loyal customers who have spent our hard-earned money, we deserve to know why you are not delivering on your promises and not living up to your brand.”

While this person was clearly frustrated, it appears that Chatfield and Verbose are trying to please customers by engaging with them privately.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Abbie Chatfield and Verbose for comment.

Verbose launched last May in sizes 6 to 26. At first, it was so popular that items sold out within minutes of dropping.

The situation at Verbose isn’t the only recent drama for Chatfield. Her radio host Rohan Edwards abruptly resigned from his role on her Hit Network show Hot Nights on Monday, effective immediately

The situation at Verbose isn’t the only recent drama for Chatfield.

Her radio host Rohan Edwards abruptly resigned from his role on her Hit Network show Hot Nights on Monday, effective immediately.

His departure was confirmed in an email to SCA staff – the day all major radio programs returned from the two-week Easter survey break.

“Nobody knows for sure what’s going on. Abbie seems to be getting on well with Rohan on air, but people are wondering if things aren’t so rosy behind the scenes,” said a source.

In another blow to Hot Nights, executive producer Max Corstorphan, who had been running the show since its launch in early 2022, also stepped down several weeks ago.

Meanwhile, Chatfield’s new dating show FBoy Island was criticized this week for its lack of “body diversity” after its female cast members were announced.

But some of her fans noted that there was no size difference between the three women, saying it was “so sad” to see a total absence of “plus-size” talent.

“No body diversity…so sad, honey,” one person commented.

Chatfield, a former Bachelor contestant, quickly responded by saying she agrees there should be better representation on the matchmaking show.

“Unfortunately I have no control over the casting in any way, but your comment shows the producers of all shows that audiences want a diversity of bodies, so I appreciate the comment,” she wrote.

Chatfield found herself in the host seat for the new 10-part series that will follow three ladies as they try to find love out of 24 suitors.
