Abbie Chatfield has finally addressed her social media feud with this year’s MAFS villains after she publicly sided with Domenica Calarco in her feud with her co-stars.
The TV and radio host, 27, last week angered Olivia Frazer, Daniel Holmes, Carolina Santos and others for saying they were simply “jealous” of Domenica’s success after Channel Nine gave her an official spin-off web series.
The Married At First Sight alumni told Abbie to “stay in her job” and accused her of lacking empathy for reality stars who receive bad edits — something she’d know all about after calling herself the “villain” in The Bachelor. found in 2019.

They also said that Domenica’s spin-off show was further evidence that MAFS producers have “chosen favorites.”
Responding to these claims on her podcast It is much this week, Abbie scoffed at the suggestion that she should have empathy for the MAFS villains just because she was the “bad girl” on The Bachelor three years ago.
She pointed out that her “rogue operation” stemmed from being slut-shamed by the other women during her season, not unlike how Domenica’s main storyline on MAFS saw her slut ashamed for having a secret OnlyFans account.
Abbie, 27, last week drew the ire of Olivia Frazer, Daniel Holmes, Carolina Santos and others for saying they were simply “jealous” of Domenica’s success after Nine gave her a spin-off web series.
In contrast, the MAFS villains — and Olivia in particular — came across badly on TV for their rudeness and the fact that they were trying to disgrace Domenica.
“Let’s be clear, I haven’t been through the same as you,” she said.
“I was never mean to anyone, I was never rude to anyone, I never exposed anyone’s OnlyFans. I was ashamed to pound someone [Bachelor Matt Agnew] on a beach and say, “I want to fuck you.”
Several disgruntled former MAFS stars were outraged last Tuesday when Nine.com.au officially launched Domenica’s (pictured) spin-off show, Dom’s Debrief.
“I stand up for someone who was ashamed of being a slut. I’ve been through what Dom went through, not what you all went through.’
As for the claims of favoritism, Abbie said it’s normal for producers to have “favorites” on set, especially when certain contestants, like Domenica, come out as “good talent.”
“Obviously she’s the producer’s favorite for a number of reasons,” she said.
“There is no conspiracy theory that producers have favorites. They have favorites from people who are good talent.’

She also addressed criticism that she should “stay in her job” and avoid commentary on the Married At First Sight drama.
“Actually, I get paid in several ways to comment on pop culture,” said Abbie, who hosts a national nighttime show for the Hit Network.
“My job is basically Australian pop culture.”

The series has faced resistance from some cast members who accused the network of favoritism towards Domenica. In particular, there’s a sense that several MAFS stars were unfairly portrayed as “villains” so she could get a glowing edit.
Her show was briefly the splash story on the Nine.com.au website last week, but was quickly cut short, presumably due to low traffic.
