Damon Dash is asking for a reduction in the amount of child support the court awarded his ex-wife Rachel Roy to care for their youngest daughter, as he said in court documents he earned less than $6,000 in 2022.

The 52-year-old music manager and the 49-year-old fashion designer, who were married between 2005 and 2009, are parents to two daughters: model Ava Dash, 24, and Tallulah Dash, 15.

He is also father to son Dame ‘Boogie’ Dash, 32, with ex Linda Williams; son Lucky, 19, with ex Cindy Morales; and three-year-old son Dusko with fiancée Raquel Horn.

The Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder currently pays approximately $3,000 monthly in child support for Tallulah, TMZ reported Tuesday after reviewing court documents.

He said in the court documents that the most he can afford to pay monthly is $428, according to the outlet.

The New York City resident cited ongoing “struggling business ventures” as the reason for his lack of income, the outlet reported.

Dash said he hasn’t been able to earn at the levels he’s been used to since the coronavirus pandemic hit nearly four years ago.

He told the court he earned $5,140 in 2022, illustrating how his earnings have plummeted in recent years.

In a response filed with the court, Roy said Dash was not completely forthcoming about his earnings in his statement to the court, TMZ reported.

She said he continues to benefit from his significant stake in Roc-A-Fella Records and other lucrative business endeavors that he failed to include in his accounting to the court.

According to the newspaper, a judge will consider the case.

Dash has had legal troubles in the past due to child support, as he was arrested in New York City in November 2019 in connection with $404,000 in unpaid child support owed to Roy and Morales.

Dash then appeared Good day New Yorkwhere he said his arrest was the result of “a set-up.”

Dash said, “It’s all about business. It’s about these lawyers, they try to manipulate things and they don’t care if they ruin your life.’

Dash said Roy was in control of the child support payments at the time, and “what she would do is not pay the child support, resign as manager and never correct the situation.”

He added: ‘The way I situated the child support would go to the company – Rachel Roy – she was the manager of the company and she would pay the child support.’
