A few weeks earlier he had troubled Minnesota's Rudy Gobert. Green has been ejected three times this season, with the NBA suspending him six times over the course of his career.
Last year, the Warriors fined him after he punched then-teammate Jordan Poole.
The NBA, together with Green, the NBPA and the Warriors, came to the indefinite ban. The power forward is in the first season of a four-year, $100 million contract and is losing more than $150,000 for every game he misses.
The league will reportedly have the final say on the 33-year-old's return, with Green expected to be back after 11 to 13 games in exile.
He is still allowed to practice with the Warriors, but according to ESPN, the 33-year-old is not expected to return to the team facility on a regular basis until the new year.
Without him, Golden State has won five straight games. The Warriors will take on the Denver Nuggets on Christmas Day.
