Beyonce’s childhood home on Rosedale Street erupts in flames on Christmas morning as family escapes cherished Houston house wearing holiday pajamas

A fire destroyed the childhood home of Texas-born and singing icon Beyoncé on Christmas morning.
The two-story home on Rosedale Street, located in Houston's Third Ward, began burning at 2 a.m. Monday, according to local TV station KTRK.
The brick house had been home to the 'Ring The Alarm' singer and her parents since her birth.
âThis is where it all started â she lived there until 1986 â the first five years of her life,â Keith Rosen, who directs Houston Historical Tourstold DailyMail.com.
The Knowles family moved out of the house decades ago and has had several owners since then, Rosen explains.

According to local media reports, the fire started around 2 a.m. on Monday
For her hometown of Houston during the Renaissance World Tour in September, Beyoncé donned a dazzling custom Balmain gown by Olivier Rousteing, complete with daring slit and glittering rose ornament.
The current residents â a couple and two young children â were able to escape the flames in their Christmas pajamas and, most importantly, unharmed.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the fire department said.
Most of the damage to the building occurred on the second floor, which was engulfed by the fire when firefighters arrived.
'They did a great job. I'm going to say that in less than 10 minutes we had this fire really under control,” Houston Fire Department Chief Justin Barnes told the local newspaper.
Firefighters ripped open the attic and eaves to make sure the fire was extinguished, police said Houston's Fox station.

Rosen, who has been organizing Beyonce tours for members of the BeyHive, the name of her fan base, since 2017, lamented the fire, adding that it is one of the two most popular stops on his tourist excursions.
âPeople who go on these tours are BeyoncĂ© lovers, fanatics. âTo visit that house where she first lived is like going to Bethlehem: the birthplace of their leader,â he noted.
'This is one of the two most popular stops on the tour, the other being the house in Parkwood where the family lived after moving from the Rosedale house. She had a recording studio there. Almost 100 percent of the people step out in front of me to have their picture taken, to take selfies.'
