Patrick Mahomes will ‘accept’ any fine he receives for his on-field meltdown against the Bills as the Chiefs QB admits he acted out of character by screaming at officials: ‘They are trying to do their best’

Patrick Mahomes says he will accept any fine that comes his way following his angry protests at the end of the Bills' defeat of the Chiefs on Sunday.

When asked if he expects a fine, Mahomes responded 610 Sports: 'To be honest, I don't know. I know that when you talk about referees and say things to referees, it's usually not a good thing. Their work is hard, they also try to make their heir as good as possible.

'What happens, happens. You have to accept the consequences of your actions, that's something I've always stood for.

“I didn't act the way I normally do and if there are consequences, I have to accept them.”
