Texas made its Big 12 Championship victory look easy with a 49-21 win over Oklahoma State Saturday from AT&T Stadium.
The No. 7 Longhorns led the entire game and dug too deep a hole for the Cowboys early in the second quarter with a 28-7 lead.
The conference championship victory comes a day after a dead Longhorn was found in an Oklahoma State fraternity house.
Texas got the win Saturday at No. 7 in the College Football Playoff rankings and needed a win to have a shot at a national championship this season. It made for the biggest step.
