James Haskell watches the rugby World Cup final with infant daughter Bodhi while estranged wife Chloe Madeley stays with her parents as couple confirm their marriage is over
James Haskell enjoyed a night out with daughter Bodhi on Saturday evening, just hours after his split from TV personality wife Chloe Madeley was confirmed.
The former Wasps and England flanker sat down to watch South Africa narrowly beat New Zealand 12-11 in the Rugby World Cup final, shortly after the former couple released a joint statement announcing the end of their five-year marriage announced.
On Instagram, Haskell, 38, shared photos of himself and 14-month-old Bodhi – their only child – sitting down in front of the television ahead of the historic match.
The retired rugby player later posted a short video of his daughter in her dressing gown as she got ready for bed.
In a joint statement released on Saturday, Haskell and Madeley, 36, said they had “mutually decided to separate” and continued to focus on co-parenting their 14-month-old child.

That same day, he shared a photo of his wife planting a kiss on Bodhi’s head. Other photos showed the toddler sitting at the table, wearing an adorable Disney sweater and matching sweatpants.
The couple, who married in 2018, fueled speculation about their relationship after Madeley emerged without her wedding ring while partying with friends – shortly after James was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightclub.
Since then, they have both been seen without rings several times.
In a joint update shared on Instagram, they announced: “Chloe and I mutually decided to separate at the end of September 2023.
“We were not planning to release a statement at this time – especially while the television show was airing – but the continued speculation about our marriage has unfortunately forced our hand.”
She added: ‘Other than this statement, we will not be speaking publicly about this matter and would request privacy at this time.
‘Our sole focus now is on our beautiful daughter. We will continue to co-parent with nothing but love.”
Haskell shared his own statement on Instagram, adding: “It is with great sadness that I write this post, but unfortunately in the world we live in it has to be done.

“My priority is the happiness and safety of my daughter and Chloe. For that reason I will make no further comment.”
A source told MailOnline: ‘James Haskell is still living at the family home in London, he returned on Monday and was still there yesterday morning.’
A friend of the couple added: “It’s all so strange, and it all seems quite rum that Chloe has done a round of interviews and spoken very openly about her life and marriage, but she neglected to say that she and James had broken up despite her. television program that is all about her family life.’
MailOnline contacted representatives for both Chloe and James for further comment.
Chloe emerged without her wedding ring as she partied with friends in October – shortly after James was pictured chatting to a mystery blonde outside a London nightclub.
It later emerged that the woman was PR director Martine Bridge, a close friend of the former rugby player with connections to the upper echelons of London high society.
Days later, he was seen without his wedding ring while out with daughter Bodhi, the couple’s only child, close to their family home.
In recent scenes from their new reality show, he bore the brunt of Chloe’s frustration after flying to Ibiza for a DJ gig – where he was pictured partying with a group of bikini-clad dancers.
James documented the job on social media and was surrounded by scantily clad women, leaving his wife, who was back in Britain, less than impressed.

After seeing the pictures, she raged: ‘He’s been uploading videos and pictures of all these girls on Instagram, and I was like, “I’ll kill you. I’ll fly to Ibiza and kill you.”
“He posted videos of him with a lot of girls in thongs” because he thinks he looks cool on social media. I’m like you’re a*** and you make me look like an a**. Stop it.’
However, she did admit, “But he loves it. Honestly, at least he’s having fun. You know what I mean.’
Chloe was looking after their 14-month-old daughter Bodhi at home while James was DJing in Ibiza, which he has been doing since retiring from professional rugby.
