Last year, Brittany revealed she had a baby with the help of her twin sister Cynthia’s donor egg after cancer left her unable to conceive on her own.

After a horrific battle with stage IV non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Brittany was told she might never be able to have children. And then her twin sister Cynthia intervened.

According to Cynthia, it was a no-brainer to donate her eggs to her twin sister, with whom she “already shared everything.”

“I saw it as a simple gift I could give her. I know Brittany would do it for me in a split second. And we’ve always shared everything, so why not this?’ Cynthia told People magazine during a recent interview.

“We are so intertwined. Everything that’s hers is mine and everything that’s mine is hers,” Brittany added.

Brittany and her husband, Adam Touni, welcomed their daughter, Hope Rose Touni, on October 24, 2021.

While Cynthia and her husband, Yellowstone star Cole Hauser, share three children of their own: Ryland, 18, Colt, 14, and Steely, nine.

“I always thought I’d be the first to get married and start a family,” Brittany admitted. “But I was serious about my career and I was having a good time.”

However, that came to an end when she was cancer was diagnosed in 2011. Cynthia recalled wondering at the time, “Am I going to lose my sister?”

She added, “She was so strong, but it was so hard to watch.”

Brittany underwent six months of intensive chemotherapy and made a full recovery, but after going through that, she says her outlook on life changed.

“I remember thinking I had a new lease on life,” she said. “I was ready to find a partner and have a child.”

Unfortunately, she was told that as a result of the chemotherapy, all her eggs had been reduced, so she could not conceive on her own.

She then approached Cynthia, who “didn’t hesitate.” But unfortunately, Brittany and her husband had three failed attempts at in vitro fertilization (IVF) with Cynthia’s eggs.

Discouraged, Brittany said she was beginning to think she was “never going to be a mother in this life.”

They then decided to use a surrogate with Cynthia’s egg – and it was successful. And when Hope was born last fall, Brittany said the whole room “screamed” because they “all knew what they’d been through.”
