Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth have been criticized for their parenting style following their twin boys, Tristan and Sasha’s birthday on Monday.
Some of the couple’s Instagram followers objected to Elsa’s “ridiculous” way of shoving one of their son’s faces into his cake.
The Spanish actress’ 39-year-old Hollywood hunk husband posted a photo of the fun mother-son moment as the couple threw a party for the twins’ ninth birthday at their $30 million Byron Bay mansion.
The photo showed the 46-year-old playfully pushing her son’s head into a chocolate cake with the help of her daughter India.
Some of Chris’s followers criticized Elsa for participating in the birthday tradition.

“Why people smash their kid’s face in the cake I don’t understand, but whatever,” one person wrote.
“Why do people think this is funny?” someone else stepped in.
‘In my country [this is] done, but it’s very bad [looked upon] because several accidents have already happened,” another commented.

Chris and his wife Elsa held a beautiful birthday celebration for their twin sons Sasha and Tristan at their mansion last weekend.
The boys turned nine on March 18 and were treated to a delicious chocolate cake.

Chris shared a tribute alongside the photo, writing, “Happy 9th birthday to my two little men! There’s only one way to eat cake in this house and that’s to let mama hit it head first!!’
“Hey mom, I don’t like chocolate cake, I prefer vanilla,” he teased. “Oh really boy, what about now?”
In the photo, the actor smiled as he watched the joke from a short distance with his hands on his hips.
