Green senator Lidia Thorpe is likely to avoid being censured by parliament for her secret relationship with cyclist Dean Martin.
It was revealed in October that Ms Thorpe was in a romantic relationship with former Rebels biker boss Dean Martin while serving on a Senate committee investigating biker gangs.
The explosive revelations prompted conflict of interest claims and calls from Liberal MPs and One Nation Senator Pauline Hanson for her resignation.
Ms Thorpe was sacked as deputy leader of the Senate Greens a day after the news broke before being referred to the Senate privileges committee.

The committee will deliver its report to the senator in early 2023 and is expected not to recommend that Thorpe be censured, according to Age.
It comes two days after the controversial senator posted a photo of herself astride a Harley Davidson motorcycle on her social media pages with the caption “Meet some old mates.”
Although the relationship with Dean Martin has now ended, according to Ms Thorpe, she said the pair remain friends.
The underworld figure is the brother of the late Rebels bikie Shane Martin and the uncle of Richmond AFL star Dustin Martin.
Ms Thorpe used an encrypted messaging app to communicate with Martin and was criticized for not disclosing her relationship with Greens party leader Adam Bandt despite warnings from her staff to do so.
Bandt has since spoken to the Australian Federal Police about the relationship.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting that Ms Thorpe was associated with outlaw biker gang members in the photo, or at any other time.
Ms Thorpe did not identify who her ‘old companions’ were, pictured standing and smiling next to her.
