A 10-year-old boy has been found dead in a car boot in regional Victoria.
The boy was playing with a group of friends in a car parked in Mooroopna, 180km north of Melbourne, at 3.30pm on Sunday.
It is believed the boy suffered cardiac arrest Herald Sun reported.
A resident said they heard screams from the street and rushed to help.
“Don’t go there,” another neighbor told them.
Another resident said they were told the boy had been in the trunk for “a few hours.”
A third local described the scene as ‘very sad’.
“Kids in cars is not a good mix,” they said.

An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said the child is believed to have died of a heart condition.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
An investigation has been launched into the death.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
