Popular baby shark bath toy sold at Kmart and on Amazon is being recalled due to terrifying mistake risk it could SPLASH kids

An extremely popular bath toy sold in Australia and the United States has been recalled due to the risk of impalement, tearing and stab wounds.
Manufacturer ZURU, in cooperation with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission, has recalled 7.5 million Baby Shark and Mini Baby Shark Bath Toys.
The ZURU Robotic Baby Shark toy is available in Australia from sellers such as Amazon, Kmart, Ebay and CrazySales. Some sellers are currently offering discounted prices.
ZURU is recalling the Baby Shark bath toys because they have a hard and sharp plastic fin that has injured a number of children
The toy also has a mini version that is also being recalled – sold in packs of one, two and three
The recall states that when used in a bathtub or paddling pool, children could slip, fall or sit on the hard plastic top fin, which has a sharp tip.
ZURU said it was aware of 12 reports of children injured by the toys, nine of which required stitches or medical attention.
The full-size version measures approximately 18cm from nose to tail and is sold in packs of one or three, while the mini version measures approximately 12cm and is sold in packs of one, two or three and as part of the Interactive Water Music Park Play Set .
The toy is available in pink, blue and yellow.
Product Safety Australia has yet to issue its own recall.
However, anyone who purchased the toy should stop using it immediately and contact ZURU through their website to report it product issue.
Since March 2023, the company has made a version with a soft silicone top fin, these are not being recalled.

ZURU was founded by New Zealander Nick Mowbray and his brother when they were 18 and 22 respectively.
The pair set up a factory in Guangzhou, China, in 2005, with little experience in the industry and not speaking the local language.
In 2015, ZURU was one of the largest toy companies in the world, and in 2020, the company employed 8,500 people, had 26 offices, and revenues in excess of $1 billion.
Mowbray currently lives in Beverley Hills, California.
