Zoom has unveiled plans for its AI Companion to help even more employees be more productive with the launch of new features and more support.
In a announcement The video calling company proudly proclaimed that the tool has now summarized one million meetings and said it would now support 32 new languages, which will launch in preview before being made generally available.
AI Companion users can now view meeting questions in the new languages and receive short meeting summaries before the full summary.
Zoom AI gets even better, at no extra cost
It’s no secret that videoconferencing has become the norm for so many workers worldwide, but many of us still fear public speaking, even from the comfort of our own home.
To solve this, Zoom has added a new speech analytics section to its Smart Recordings to give the host information about speaking-to-listening ratio, speaking rate, and speech fillers, all in an effort to optimize engagement.
The company also plans to introduce more control over which models its customers use, with an option to enable only Zoom’s own LLM.
The updates are scheduled for release sometime in November and eligible Zoom users will get them for free. Zoom CPO Smita Hashim said of the company’s commitment to value:
“Our unique federated approach allows us to dynamically use different models, reducing AI overhead costs and providing broad access to generative AI.”
Zoom says that more than 125,000 accounts now use the AI Companion. The company says it will continue to improve existing features and add new ones, in an effort to maintain its position as one of the world’s favorite video conferencing apps.
