Zooey Deschanel reveals she would “really love” to revisit New Girl in a reboot of the hit show

Zooey Deschanel talked about the prospect of appearing in a New Girl reboot during an interview with the Wall Street Journal on Monday.

The 43-year-old actress, who played lead character Jessica Day on the show, which aired from 2011-2018, said she especially loved her time on the Fox sitcom and wouldn’t rule out a return to the series.

The 500 Days of Summer star, who was previously featured in a series of throwback photos by beau Jonathan Scott, also discussed her with her boyfriend J and her feelings about songwriting in the candid chat.

Speaking of rebooting the sitcom, she said, β€œIt kind of depends on the circumstances. I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life doing reboots.”

However, the Bridge to Terabithia actress noted that of all her other projects, she would be most willing to appear in an updated version of New Girl.

Deschanel then noted that her 44-year-old boyfriend had gone out of his way to make her happy while they renovated their home.

‘When I first met Jonathan I told him how badly I wanted a solarium. He made it happen,” she said.
