Zoe Saldana shares the Avatar films have made her cool at home with her three sons

Zoe Saldana said that the Avatar movies have made her great at home.

That’s because the children she shares with husband Marco Perego, eight-year-old twins Bowie and Cy, and five-year-old son Zen, are fans of the franchise.

The 44-year-old actress relayed her comments to Fashion where she modeled a variety of iridescent and multifaceted couture looks for the magazine’s winter 2022 digital issue.

She revealed that she managed to raise nerdy but good-looking boys who recognize her as a “bona fide guardian of the galaxy.”

Her children have begun to realize that she is not only a mother, but also an intergalactic hero as she appeared in these popular franchises and in three of the top five grossing movies of all time.

“I see how he’s trying to place me in his mind like, ‘Okay, you’re mom, but you’re also Gamora,'” she said of her youngest son, Zen.

“They’re going to see these movies and it’s going to be part of what they like and what excites them,” he said. “And the fact that it gives me street credibility with my kids, it’s fun, it’s great.”

She also told InStyle about her rise to fame that happened in the 13 years since the original Avatar movie was released.

“I had no idea that Avatar was going to have the impact that it did on such a global scale,” he said. “I had high hopes that it would be well received, because I thought it was very special.”

In the past 13 years, Sandana has been married and has had three children.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star also spoke about the underlying themes in the Avatar movie that have acted as catalysts for change.

She said she believes the film has raised awareness about issues like climate change and rising sea levels.

“This conversation about the environment has turned into a global social dilemma,” he told InStyle. “And what I admire the most is that the younger generations are driving this narrative.”

The star, who grew up in the Dominican Republic, also spoke about how the limitless arena of the science fiction genre allows her to freely explore and tell stories in a liberating way.

“Maybe because I’m a woman of color, you can’t look back on your history and not feel a level of sadness,” she said. It’s just history. It is what happened.

She said of her futuristic roles with these big franchises: “I always loved more the prospects of the future and what that would represent.” I can imagine something that is completely unimaginable.

She added: “It just made me feel freer, that I can try new things and not be judged for it because it can’t be compared to anything.” I always felt that science fiction gave me that freedom, that feeling of escapism, and a sense of comfort.’

Her look for the magazine was out of this world.

She recently attended the world premiere of Avatar: The Way of Water in an equally enchanting look: a lavishly embroidered Alexander McQueen corset-style gown.

The long-awaited sequel to the 2009 sci-fi action film will open in US theaters on December 16.

For the cover shoot, she donned a variety of looks, including an Alexandre Vauthier garment, sequined from top to bottom, while showing off her moves like a professionally trained former dancer.

Underneath, he was wearing dark slacks and a simple white tank top. To accessorize, she posed in matching white opera gloves and a diamond-encrusted chain necklace.
