Zoe Kravitz believes Big Little Lies is “done.”

The 33-year-old P*ssy Island director – who played Bonnie Carlson on the series – doubts there will be another season of the hit HBO show, as the late director Jean-Marc Vallée was the “visionary” for the drama.

Asked if a third season is in the cards during a fan Q+A for GQ on TikTok, she replied, “I don’t think so.”

“We’ve talked a lot about doing season three, but unfortunately Jean-Marc Vallée, our incredible director, passed away last year and I can’t imagine going forward without him,” she explains.

She added, “He really was the visionary for that show. So unfortunately, it’s over.’

The director of the Dallas Buyers Club died suddenly on Christmas Day last year at the age of 58 of natural causes.

Jean-Marc earned two Emmy Awards for directing and producing the miniseries.

Zoe’s comment echoes a similar sentiment from Reese Witherspoon, who starred as Madeline Martha Mackenzie and executive producer of the show. She admitted that she and her co-stars would love to “recreate” their characters in some way.

She said, “There’s definitely a deep desire for all of us to connect and recreate those characters.”

The show included Nicole Kidman (Celeste Wright), Laura Dern (Renata Klein), and Shailene Woodley (Jane Champman), among others.

Reese said, “Someone asked me the other day, ‘Which co-stars do you talk to more than any other?” It’s definitely the Big Little Lies cast. We’re always talking and texting.”

But like Zoe, Reese admitted that it would be hard to go on without Jean-Marc.

She added: ‘He was our brother. So much of that series was born out of his imagination and creativity, so it’s hard to imagine a future without him. But there is certainly a deep desire for all of us to connect and recreate those characters.”

Kravitz’s comments on the series came after she opened up about her relationship with Channing Tatum in a feature film starring GK.

The Batman actress discussed her relationship with 42-year-old Magic Mike actor Channing – whom she affectionately called “Chan” – and labeled him a “great human being” in a conversation with GK magazine, as part of their Men of the Year series.

The High Fidelity star said Tatum was incredibly supportive of her directorial debut, P*ssy Island.

Kravitz also talked about a now-famous photo of the couple riding a bicycle down the street, kicking Tatum and Kravitz with her arms wrapped loosely around his neck.

“I was sweating and he said, ‘Get on a bike, I’ll drive you there and you can relax,'” she admitted, before adding, “You want to keep it sacred and private for as long as possible.”
