Zlatan Ibrahimovic will make a surprising move into acting in the new Asterix and Obelix film, which is slated for release in February 2023.
The Swedish icon shared a trailer of Asterix and Obelix: L’Empire du milieu to Twitter on Sunday, in which he starred as the terrifying Roman soldier named Antivirus.
Ibrahimovic, who turns 41 next month, has yet to announce his retirement from professional football and is under contract with AC Milan until next summer.

The striker, seen on the battlefield wearing a soldier’s armor, uses his cunning footwork to flip up a helmet before dropping his opponent to the ground.
The brutal and entertaining clip is shortly followed by Ibrahimovic addressing his army in a confident and unflappable manner, almost a reflection of the revelers so often seen on the football pitch.
He accompanied the trailer with the message, “Soon. Long live France.’

Ibrahimovic is still recovering from knee surgery he underwent in May, but has promised fans he will return before he concludes his impressive 23-year career.
Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Swede said: ‘I’ll be back soon. I’m not retiring, I’m coming back and I’m not giving up.’
