Zinedine Zidane is under consideration for the vacant position in Brazil, according to reports in France.
Zidane has been out of a job since leaving Real Madrid in May 2021 and has been linked to dozens of jobs, including with the French national team and Manchester United before Erik ten Hag was appointed.
The 50-year-old former Real Madrid and France midfielder has now emerged as a potential replacement for Tite. The French newspaper L’Equipe has reported.
Zinedine Zidane is reportedly being linked with Brazil’s job as he seeks a return to management.
According to the French outlet, the Brazilian FA hopes to name a foreigner after Tite resigned following the country’s shock quarter-final elimination at the World Cup.
Mauricio Pochettino, Thomas Tuchel or Rafael Benítez are some of the others who have been linked to a role with Brazil.
Zidane has been touted as a possible successor to Didier Deschamps, but there is growing expectation that he will remain in charge of the French national team.
Tite resigned from his role as coach of the Brazilian national team hours after his exit from the World Cup.
The president of the French Football Federation has indicated that he will hold talks with French coach Didier Deschamps “next week” with the hope of extending his contract.
Deschamps, who won the World Cup for France as a player in 1998 and a coach in 2018, has been in charge of Les Bleus since 2012.
FFF president Noel Le Graet has made it explicit that he would like the 54-year-old to remain in charge, even hinting that Deschamps could lead the team to the 2030 World Cup.

There have been suggestions that Zidane will seek a return to management of the club if Deschamps remains.
Zidane won three consecutive Champions League trophies as Real Madrid manager between 2015-16 and 2017-18 and also led his team to LaLiga glory in 2016-17 and 2019-20.
Paris Saint-Germain pursued his signing last summer before signing Christophe Galtier, but Zidane had little interest in joining the organization at the time.
The French newspaper claims that the former World Cup winner would prefer to move to a league he knows well, such as Serie A or LaLiga, rather than the Premier League.
It is believed that Zidane would be interested in the Juventus position, although he is not available at the moment.
