Zenless Zone Zero’s Jane Doe might just be the hottest Hoyoverse work yet
Hoyoverse, the absolutely massive game development studio and publisher behind global hits like Genshin Impact And Honkai: Star Trailknows how to turn up the horny dial. Whether it was the absurd boob jiggle physics when Genshin launched, or the heartbeats of Tears of ThemisHoyoverse has never shied away from creating lustful characters. But now, with the introduction of Jane Doe in Zenless Zone Zerothe studio that was known for being quite horny has apparently outdone itself.
Jane Doe is an S-rank physical anomaly character that appeared in the latter half of the 1.1 patch. Zenless Zone Zero. She’s also very sexy, in a stereotypical way. Her high-waisted shorts (worn over ripped pantyhose) accentuate perhaps the most dramatic hip-to-waist ratio I’ve seen in a game in a long time. Other design features, like a small devil’s tail that wraps around her leg, are meant to arouse a lot of lust in fans. On August 30, developer Hoyoverse released a character demo trailer for her and well… it’s so hot that it inspired both simps and critics to comment.
The trailer centers on a scenario in which a character is being interrogated by Jane Doe. The character, who is strapped to a chair, is panting and breathing heavily as Jane taunts them in a sexualized manner. Jane sinks her face between the character’s legs and shoves an apple down the character’s throat — and it’s all framed from a first-person perspective, so it gives the effect of her doing it to the viewer. Now, both the trailer and the character have drawn mixed reactions from fans.
Some people already worship Jane and TikTok is full of fan edits of her. One video edit, which more than 3 million viewsis filled with commenters screaming that they want to “save hex” with her — a phrasing people use to circumvent moderation parameters on TikTok. short clip of Jane walking also prompted wild reactions from fans, with one saying: “Brother, the thigh physics are devilish, what the hell.”
Others, however, are not so happy with the character. Some players liked the character design, but they didn’t like the way she was portrayed in the video. Hoyoverse is used to causing controversy with its character designs. But it’s also a company whose fans really do want so many of its characters. The company has always had to walk a fine line between creating beloved and sometimes sexy characters without overdoing the sexual elements. Now it just seems like Zenless Zone Zero goes all out on these parts of the fandom.
