Zendaya teases her toned midriff in low-rise jeans as she snaps selfie showing off her freshly dyed hair: ‘Needed a little refresh’

Zendaya gave her look a “little refresh” this week by re-dying her hair the perfect shade of chocolate brown.

She eagerly showed off the results on her Instagram Story on Tuesday after meeting famed Hollywood colorist Sarah Shears.

The Emmy Award winner, 26, held her iPhone to her face as she took a self-portrait.

Her dyed hair looked freshly blown out for its glamorous volume and she wore it swept to the side for the photo.

Also on display was the Smartwater ambassador’s tight midriff as she pointed her iPhone at a full-length mirror.

Zendaya wore a cropped white T-shirt and low-rise jeans, which she held in place with a tan leather belt.

‘Refresh’

A brown suede bag slung over one shoulder and she adorned it with a disc pendant necklace.

“I needed a refresh,” she captioned the IG Story post.

Zendaya has relied on Shears’ expertise over the years and even had her take her brunette to red in 2021,

Shears – the master colorist at OneEleven Lounge in Hollywood and who has worked with celebrity clients for a decade – previously did POPSUGAR about the dramatic transformation.

“We discussed the length options, from bob to medium length,” she explained to the outlet. “We decided to do something in between these two: a ’90s supermodel.”

Zendaya is known for experimenting with her look – be it her natural coiled hair or a chic blunt bob with fierce bangs.

She cut her long hair in December 2022 and has continued to embrace her shoulder-length cut, including for her most recent Smartwater campaign.

One of the designers who dressed Zendaya for the shoot, Aaron Esh, revealed some gorgeous promo images on Instagram on Monday.

The superstar blazed through an array of glamorous ensembles, including a sheer mesh dress.

Some of her outfits brought back memories of old Hollywood, including a purple number with a hood that fell to the floor.

Another look of hers consisted of a 1960s hairstyle and a sleeveless wrap dress that gave her campaign a summery touch.

Together with Aaron Esh, Chet Lo, Conner Ives, Di Petsa and Nensi Dojaka, they all created custom looks for Zendaya to wear.

She became a Global Brand Ambassador in June 2022 and is the face of Smartwater’s ‘Keep It Smart’ campaign.

Tuesday’s IG Story post was a rare move for Zendaya, who has largely kept her distance from social media in the weeks following the tragic death of her Euphoria co-star Angus Cloud.

Angus passed away at his childhood home in Oakland, California on Monday, July 31 at the age of 25 – after struggling with the loss of his father, his family said TMZ. His mother, who called 911, reported it as a “possible overdose.”

Zendaya broke her silence about Angus’s untimely death when she wrote an emotional tribute on Instagram on Tuesday, August 1.

Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty of Angus (Conor). I am so grateful to have had the chance to get to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm, kind eyes and beaming smile, or to hear his infectious cackling (I smile now when I just think ),’ the actress wrote.

“I know people often use this phrase when they talk about people they love… ‘they can light up any room they enter’, but boy let me tell you. He was the best at it. That’s how I’d like to remember him. For all the boundless light, love and joy he always knew how to give us. I will cherish every moment,” she added.

She concluded, “My heart is with his mother and family right now and please be kind and patient because grief looks different on everyone.”

A week later, Zendaya returned to Instagram to share a photo of a mural painted in honor of Angus in Oakland.

Friends close to the late actor painted the memorial and it was the site of a candlelight vigil on Friday, August 4.

It features an image of Angus smiling, as well as several tributes to the star that show the positive impact he continues to have on his community.

Zendaya also posted a photo of a street sign that read “No Love Fades” in white spray paint. It is unclear if this artwork is related to Angus.
