Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom’s Depths aren’t scary when you’ve got a sick ride

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the most comprehensive Zelda game to date, offering the chance to explore not only all of Hyrule, but also the skies and depths beneath the known world. The depths are a whole new kind of challenge – it’s really dark in there! Away from the sun and moon, you need to throw brightly blooming seeds to illuminate areas and avoid stepping into Gloom, which not only damages your heart, but also your heart containers.

Fortunately, you don’t have to get into the Gloom to run around in the depths. For example, you can ride a skeleton horse, mount those who wander wildly, or steal one from a Bokoblin. Or, if you’re a real innovator, you can build a car, hoverbike, or plane – or even try to take your Zonai device loaded vehicle to the depths. A handful of fans started doing that — with, say, one range of successes – trucking around the depths with hardly a care in the world.

Here’s Link, riding one monster truck looking segway.

In one of the most sophisticated examples we’ve seen, this player used springs to create a spring system of sorts that allows them to drive over bumps.

And for something more low tech, here is a “wing bike” which requires Link to run back and forth to make him spin.

Stay safe out there, friends! And as a final professional tip: don’t forget that you can stick a bright flower on your vehicleadding some headlights for depth exploration.
