Zayn Malik revealed his new look on Instagram on Friday.
The former One Direction star, 31, has often sported long, black and sometimes blonde hairstyles over the years and kept his beard to a minimum.
But the pop singer shocked his fans when he showed off his beard and hair on social media earlier this weekend.
The Pillowtalk hitmaker grabbed a red microphone in the video so he could sing an a cappella version of his song Shoot At Will.
Zayn didn’t comment on the new look in his post, but fans were excited to respond in the comments, as they immediately noticed the big change.

Meanwhile, a debate broke out in the comments among fans about how Zayn could have pulled off such a look in the first place.
Fans noticed that he only visited the press a few months ago to promote his album Room Under the Stairs.
One fan commented that the new look was “amazing,” after noting that Zayn had had enough time out of the spotlight to grow an impressive beard.
