Zara McDermott ‘DOUBLES her wealth after Strictly Come Dancing appearance’ – following scandal-hit time on the show

Zara McDermott is said to have doubled her fortune after her scandal-hit Strictly Come Dancing role.

The former Love Island star, 27, appeared in the BBC series last year before reports emerged she was “punched and kicked” by now-fired professional Graziano Di Prima during rehearsals.

It came at a time when the show was in crisis, after Amanda Abbington’s complaints about her partner Giovanni Pernice came to light.

But despite the tough times on the show, she has achieved some impressive financial results since appearing.

According to new accounts filed with Companies House, the beauty saw her fortune grow from £142,726 in 2022 to £309,913 in 2023. The sun.

In her latest documentary Ibiza: Secrets of the Party Island she shows the dark side of the holiday destination.

This follows shocking allegations of abuse against her by her Strictly partner Graziano.

She has remained silent about the ordeal but shared her side of the story after being confronted by BBC bosses during an investigation into the conduct of their professional dancers.

In a statement to her two million Instagram followers, she explained that she “struggled with the fear of speaking out publicly” because she was “afraid of the public backlash and victim shaming.”

The documentary maker wrote: ‘There are reports of the way I was treated on the show and there were witnesses to certain events. There is also video of certain incidents that are incredibly painful to watch.

‘After many conversations with the people I love, I found the strength to face these fears.

Last month it was also revealed that the former Made In Chelsea star entered a dance competition with a broken leg and that her professional dance partner had kicked her during their training sessions.

The Sun reported that Zara needed painkillers to get through the ten-hour training sessions after breaking a shin bone on the show.

Professional dancer Giovanni has also been fired from the show, following an ongoing investigation into his behaviour after actress Amanda told the broadcaster she had been abused.

The findings of a BBC investigation into the allegations are due to be released shortly.

Zara and her boyfriend Sam Thompson’s good friend Pete Wicks are among the next stars joining the show.
