Zara McDermott has gone on hiatus from social media in the wake of her split from boyfriend Sam Thompson after five years together.
The pair started dating in 2019 after Made In Chelsea star Sam, 32, messaged Love Islander Zara, 28, on Instagram. But last week it was reported that the couple recently split, although neither has publicly commented on the breakup.
Zara took to her social media for the first time since her rumored breakup on Monday, when she shared a recent TV appearance.
The influencer appeared on Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel, where she helped the contestant answer a question on Strictly Come Dancing.
‘The best day ever!’ Zara captioned the clip. ‘So grateful that I could be a part of this.’
It came hours after Sam cut an upbeat figure as he shared motivational messages with his fans despite his relationship problems.

As he walked through the rain, the ex Made In Chelsea star took to Instagram to promise his followers they would have a ‘good day’.
He said, ‘It may be raining, there may be ice caps in my eyes right now, but I think you’ll have a very good day.
“You’re going to have a really good week, and I’m never wrong. I promise, let’s have it!’
He captioned his video: “Good morning to all of us incoming.”
This isn’t the first positive video Sam has shared since news of his split was revealed, with Sam returning to social media last week with a heartfelt promise to fans on New Year’s Day.
Sam was in good spirits as he shared his first Instagram post since news of their divorce broke on Wednesday morning.
Addressing his followers in a short video filmed outside his London home, he said: “The New Year is going to be amazing. You’re going to have the best year ever, and you know I’m never wrong, I’m always right.”
He closed with a kiss and repeated, “You’re going to have the best year ever.”

Hours earlier, he celebrated New Year’s Eve by partying with his ex-Made In Chelsea colleagues Reza Amiri-Garroussi and Josh Patterson at London’s Kensington Roof Gardens, while ex-girlfriend Zara spent the evening at home with her cats.
It comes as it has been reported that Sam and Zara have split weeks ago and has already moved out of the couple’s London home.
The sun has revealed Zara has also jetted off on a secret trip to Paris for New Year’s as she takes some time for herself after the split.
A source told the publication: ‘It has been a difficult time for Zara. The trip to Paris helped her get away from it all.
“Zara just wants to focus on her work and pull herself together. They separated for some time before it officially came to light and she now lives separately from him.’

It comes after fans were convinced they knew the real reason why the couple split after not spending Christmas together.
The couple split just a month after Sam shared a glowing post about his ‘soulmate’ Zara on her birthday.
In the Instagram post, the radio host described Zara as his “best friend” who is “stuck to him forever.”

However, fans have now taken over the comments and say it was his lack of action that led to the couple splitting, saying Sam should have asked Zara to marry him.
They wrote: ‘In the words of Beyoncé. If you like it, put a ring on it’; Imagine, no time like the present; Mate, buy her a ring FFS;
“If she’s going to be with you forever, why not put a ring on it?” What are you waiting for; Put a ring on that finger’.
