Zara and Mike Tindall walk hand-in-hand on the Gold Coast for Magic Millions

The royal family is facing another crisis following the early release of Prince Harry’s memoir Spare and his transatlantic hype blitz.

But Zara and Mike Tindall couldn’t have seemed less upset by the drama unleashed by the Duke of Sussex as they enjoyed a stroll through Surfers Paradise on Australia’s Gold Coast on Tuesday.

Olympian Zara, 41, looked stylish in her equestrian gear, opting for white pants, a red polo shirt and white sneakers, before donning boots for a walk on the beach.

Keeping her blonde hair up and shielding herself from the sun with a blue baseball cap, Zara looked right at home as she continued her love affair with Australia.

Meanwhile, her husband Mike, 44, opted for cream shorts and a relaxed blue shirt with matching white sneakers and a Magic Millions cap.

Zara is an ambassador for Magic Millions at Doug Jennings Park in Main Beach. Prince William and Harry’s cousin has traveled to the event most years since 2013, only taking a break during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The couple was seen mingling with Australian A-listers, including Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky, at the Queensland society event on Sunday.

Nacho Figueras, who plays on the same polo team as Prince Harry and has been nicknamed the ‘David Beckham of Polo’, was also present at the event.

The father of four was among a handful of Harry and Meghan Markle’s closest confidants who appeared in the first three episodes of the couple’s Netflix documentary.

The Argentine has been a vocal supporter of the Duke and Duchess, having been there in the early days of the couple’s romance and later as a guest at their wedding.

Zara and her brother Peter, the children of Princess Anne, are close to Princes William and Harry and are often called “peacemakers” between the feuding siblings.

But the couple seemed to put the royal dramas behind them as they basked in the Queensland sunshine on Tuesday.

Zara and Mike have made no secret of their love affair with Australia, having first met in a Sydney bar when Mike was drowning his sorrows after being knocked out of the England squad during the 2003 World Cup.

They recently visited Down Under in December for a trip to the Adelaide 500 motor racing event before returning to the UK for Christmas.

The Tindalls previously played New Year’s Eve 2020 in Sydney to an A-list crowd, including Rebel Wilson.

Zara has previously said that she is “thinking about moving to Australia”, telling The Australian Women’s Weekly in 2019 that she would move “if an opportunity arises”.

‘Early January is bleak around here [in their home of Gloucestershire in England] so it’s nice to be able to go and get some sun,” he said.

“I love the Australian lifestyle and the ability to get up early, go to the beach, especially for the kids,” Mike told the magazine.
