Zach Wilson could be set to start for the Jets Week 1 as New York host Baltimore after scans revealed bone bruising and a meniscus tear in his right knee.

Per Brian Costello, Gang Green are seeking a second MRI to confirm the news, but at this moment Wilson will miss two to four weeks.

The former BYU quarterback will undergo arthroscopic surgery as part of the treatment process, according to Adam Schefter. This will provide a clearer timeline as to the length of Wilson’s absence.

Zach Wilson hobbled from the field on Friday night after making a cut outside the pocket

The Jets’ star signal-caller will be in a race against time with Baltimore arriving in New Jersey for the season opener in just 29 days time.

Wilson sent scares through the boroughs of New York after suffering the knee injury during the first quarter. Scrambling to his right, Wilson made a cut before pulling up lame.

The sophomore limped to the looker room before being replaced by Mike White, who led the Jets to a 24-21 win over Philadelphia.

Prior to the injury, Wilson completed 3 of 5 passes for 23 yards along with an interception.

Jets fans can breathe a little easier with Wilson likely to be in the mix for a Week 1 start

The injury-causing seven-yard run was his final contribution Friday night.

Last season, Wilson injured his right posterior ligament which caused him to miss a month of football.

The 23-year-old showed flashes of his potential during an inconsistent rookie year, throwing for 2,334 yards, nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

Joe Flacco and Mike White are decent backup options if Wilson cannot go in the season opener
