Brianna Chickenfry posted an emotional video discussing their split just hours after her ex-boyfriend Zach Bryan announced their split.
A tearful Brianna — whose real name is Brianna LaPaglia — admitted she was “completely blindsided” when Zach announced their divorce without telling her in advance whether he would.
Sitting on the floor of her bathroom while her cat roamed, Brianna admitted that they had broken up the day before as she broke down at the end of their more than year-long relationship.
“I just woke up when Zach posted on his Instagram that we had broken up, and I have no idea that message went around. He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me,” she said as she sat on the bathroom floor with her cat, who appeared to be her feline Mango, roaming around.
Brianna revealed that she woke up to a flood of text messages asking if everything was okay before learning that Zach had confirmed their divorce to the world.

‘I just woke up to a bunch of texts like, are you okay? And I’m thinking, did my damn father die? Yeah, so I’m completely blindsided by it. I also really feel like… I’ve been crying for five days straight.
“Sorry if this video goes back and forth a lot, but I’m at the point where it’s like, how can you give someone everything and love them so unconditionally, like through things you shouldn’t do?… like you see the good in them.
“This is so embarrassing,” she said. ‘I don’t care. How can you give every ounce of yourself to someone and then be thrown away in a matter of days? It’s really heartbreaking.
‘I don’t want to talk about details now, I don’t want to talk about it yet. Of course I will. But right now I wanted to heal privately and I didn’t even know he would post that. We broke up yesterday. I wasn’t ready to do anything publicly.
“Now all I get is a billion crazy texts and stuff. I first wanted to tackle this as a human being and now that is not the case. I’m just asking that you please… respect my privacy at this time and when I’m ready to talk about everything that happened, I will. But right now I’m just completely blindsided. And thanks for all the sweet messages. I’ll be fine, I’ll be fine.

Country star Zach announced their breakup on his Instagram Stories, writing, “Addressing something: Brianna and I broke up with each other (sic) and I respect and love her with every ounce of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a long time and for that I will always be grateful.”
“I’ve personally had an incredibly difficult year and have struggled through some pretty serious things. I thought it would be helpful for both of us to date in different ways. I am not perfect and never will be.
“Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this, and if it’s in your heart, mine too.”
