More than 12 years after their split, Daytime Emmy Award-winning host Zac Efron mysteriously decided to follow again his famous ex-girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens on Instagram on Monday and it didn’t go unnoticed by fans.
And while the 34-year-old Caliwater co-founder didn’t include her 35-year-old ex-boyfriend in the 1,772 accounts she follows, she certainly made it to his lucky list of 277 accounts.
The onscreen chemistry between Zac and Vanessa as basketball player Troy Bolton and decathlete Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical trilogy was so powerful that they began dating in real life from 2005 until their eventual split in December 2010.
Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement and surprise at Efron – who also follows HSM co-star Ashley Tisdale – who is still interested in what is happening in Hudgens’ life.
