Zac Efron returned to his High School Musical hairstyle when he was spotted filming an upcoming project in Los Angeles this week.
The only film currently listed as being in production is his IMDb page is the thriller Famous, in which he stars opposite Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor.
Based on a novel by Blake Crouch, who also wrote the script, Famous stars Zac in a dual role as both a movie star and his crazed fan.
When he showed up on the set of a mystery project this week, 37-year-old Zac had a look that brought back memories of his own early stardom.
In 2006, at the age of 19, Zac became a household name as popular teen Troy Bolton in the Disney Channel movie High School Musical — with a haircut that was strikingly similar to the one he had last Tuesday.

Zac ended up starring in a total of three High School Musical films, alongside Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Corbin Bleu.
In recent years, he has attempted darker roles, including serial killer Ted Bundy in the 2019 biopic Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil And Vile.
He has also shown off his comedic chops in two films this year: the Peter Farrelly romp Ricky Stanicky and the romance A Family Affair with Nicole Kidman and Joey King.
Last year, he received critical acclaim for playing real-life wrestler Kevon Von Erich in the biopic The Iron Claw, alongside Jeremy Allen White and Lily James.
Zac’s latest sighting comes three months after he was reportedly hospitalized in Ibiza following a ‘pool incident’ at a luxury villa.
He was reportedly “found in the pool by two people working at the villa and pulled him out of the water,” a source said. TMZ.
His rep confirmed he had been admitted to hospital as a ‘precautionary measure’, but insisted he was ‘recovering fine’ after the ‘minor’ incident.
Zac was reportedly admitted to hospital on Friday evening and released the next morning – and by that Sunday he posted a photo to Insta Stories of himself lifting weights, with the caption: ‘happy and healthy – thanks for the well wishes. ‘

In addition to Famous, Zac’s upcoming projects on IMDb include a Disney+ remake of the 1987 Hollywood comedy Three Men And A Baby.
In the 1987 version, Ted Danson, Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg play three single men who have to take care of a baby when one of them discovers that he fathered the child out of wedlock.
The 1980s Hollywood film, itself based on the 1985 French film Three Men And A Cradle, turned out to be a runaway blockbuster.
Zac’s upcoming version for Disney+ was announced more than four years ago, but he says it remains in pre-production IMDb.
