Yung Filly’s collaborator breaks silence on future of their gaming team – that Wayne Rooney also played on – after YouTuber was arrested over alleged hotel rape

Yung Filly’s collaborator AngryGinge has broken his silence on the future of their gaming team following the YouTuber’s arrest.

Filly – whose real name is Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos – and Ginge – real name Morgan Burtwistle – created Girth N Turf FC, a virtual football team on the EA Sports FC 24 gaming platform, in March.

They broadcast their matches on the live streaming service Twitch and their club boasts a line-up of some of the biggest names in both the influencer and sporting worlds, including Wayne Rooney and Luke Littler.

In a Twitch streaming on Thursday, Burtwistle addressed Barrientos’ arrest after the star appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s in Perth.

He shared, “Where to start? Four in the morning, I’m in bed, right? I see what’s happening on Twitter. First of all… I’m exactly the same as you. I’m shocked! Yeah, you know, mentally. Spiritual!

‘But he is now clearly involved in legal proceedings. I cannot comment on legal proceedings. Yes, you know what it is like. Angry!

‘To be honest, I can’t comment on legal proceedings. I don’t know anything anymore. I know exactly the same as you. I know what appeared in the news. I don’t know anything anymore. Please don’t think I do that.

‘It is what it is. We just have to wait for the final verdict. You’re all going to make your own opinions and whatever, and that’s fine.’

Discussing their football stream, he continued: “I think the next big question… GNT (Girth N Turf)… if you want my honest answer, I don’t know the future of it.

‘I don’t know what the future is at the moment. Right? We’ll see what we can do. But right now I don’t know. And that’s all I’m going to say. And I can’t say much else.’

‘Everyone at GNT is in exactly the same boat as you. We only know what you know. And that’s that. Damn hell! And that’s that.’

Barrientos is an avid football fan and has collaborated with several sports brands during his career.

On Thursday, Barrientos appeared in court accused of sexually assaulting a woman in her 20s on September 28 after a performance at Bar1 Nightclub in Perth.

Hours later, the Football Association pulled an advert for a cooking series he starred in, just two days after announcing his involvement.

The FA confirmed to Sky News that the videos had been removed.

A spokesperson for Footasylum told MailOnline: ‘In light of these extremely serious allegations, we are suspending our contract with Yung Filly with immediate effect.

“We cannot comment further until the legal process has been completed.”

Perth Magistrates’ Court heard Barrientos was charged with four counts of sexual penetration without consent, three counts of assault and one count of obstructing a person’s normal breathing or circulation by putting pressure on the neck.
