The Ironing Expert Claimed Most People Avoid Shirt Buttons Like ‘Minefields’, But He Has an Easier Method to Get Your Laundry Done in Seconds
In the video titled ‘Ironing shirts just got a lot easier’, he starts by placing a shirt on an ironing board with the buttons facing up.
He said, ‘If you iron your shirt like I used to. You’re probably brushing around the knots and dodging them like they’re minefields.’
But he then claims that the method is “not the right way to do it,” and begins to demonstrate his simpler trick.
He explains, “Start by turning your shirt inside out, run the iron over the fabric, one and voila.”
“Smooth and wrinkle-free,” he adds.
The man then turns the shirt over and shows how the space between the buttons has become flat and wrinkle-free.
Since the video was posted, it has racked up a million views and thousands of users flooded commenters who were amazed that they had never tried his technique before.
One person wrote: ‘Wow, I never thought I’d do it this way. Thanks for sharing.’
According to the expert, all you need to do is turn your shirt over and flatten the fabric from the inside
Another commented: ‘Feeling like an idiot, you can of course just turn the shirt around!’
Meanwhile, others claimed they had already thought of the idea, with one user commenting: ‘Knew that!’ As a second said: ‘I’ve been ironing like this since the 80s.’
After much demand, the ironing professional posted part two of the video, which was viewed 1.8 million times.
Sharing a method for tackling a tricky sleeve, the man said: ‘Fold the top of the sleeve first, then start steaming from the inside of the shirt, kind of like a balloon.
‘Doing that softens the fiber and makes the fabric smoother.’
He claimed: ‘It makes ironing much easier.’
