You’ve been eating burgers WRONG! Food fan claims there’s a better way

  • Content creator Max Klymenko has shared a divisive ‘best’ way to eat a burger

Burgers are the favorite choice for a number of foodies, thanks to both their versatility and simplicity.

Perfect for eating in a restaurant, on the go, or making your own at home, they are undoubtedly an important part of the culinary universe.

However, there is disagreement about the food when it comes to how it should be consumed properly.

Should you just dive into all the flaming weapons? Or do you eat it more consciously with a knife and fork?

None of these methods appear to be correct, according to content creator Max Klymenko, who released a TikTok saying that you should actually eat a burger by turning it upside down.

Max Klymenko says that if you turn the burger upside down, it better absorbs all the juices from the meat, sauces and toppings

Klymenko adds that there is a purpose behind this, as it prevents the burger from falling apart after you've eagerly bitten a chunk out of it.

Mr Klymenko explains why this is the best way to eat a burger, saying that holding the burger upside down ensures that all the juices from the meat, sauces and toppings are better absorbed.

While it may seem like a crime to eat the burger, which many people would consider wrong, Klymenko adds that there is a purpose behind this as it prevents the burger from falling apart once you’ve greedily bitten a piece out of it . .

Klymenko’s tips caused a stir among other users, who fiercely debated how to eat a burger.

One user said: ‘Bro, I used to get clowned for flipping my burger while eating it.’

A second argued: ‘There’s no way I’m eating upside down, bro’.

A third commented: ‘I don’t eat the burger that way and never will.’

Klymenko’s advice comes after a Michelin-starred chef revealed that you should never cook your burgers on the barbecue – describing it as a ‘terrible’ way to prepare meat.

David Chang, whose flagship restaurant Momofuku in New York has two Michelin stars, said barbecue is just a “marketing lie.”

Speaking on his podcast The David Chang Show, the 45-year-old chef explained: ‘Grills are bad for burgers.

‘As a culture, we have assumed that we eat a burger in the summer, and it is then grilled.

“I actually think the grill is a terrible thing for the citizen… I think this stance could get me in trouble.”
