YouTuber accused topping 150 mph on his motorcycle on Colorado interstate wanted on multiple charges

DENVER — A motorcyclist who authorities say posted a video on YouTube of himself riding from Colorado Springs to the Denver metro area on Interstate 25 in 20 minutes β€” a trip that typically takes about an hour β€” is wanted on multiple charges.

Rendon Dietzmann, a 32-year-old from Texas, filmed himself on September 28 driving more than 150 miles per hour, weaving through small gaps in traffic and driving onto the shoulder, according to a Colorado State Patrol news release issued Wednesday sent. The video has since been removed from YouTube, but the State Police shared a clip with the press release.

Dietzmann, who is known on YouTube as Gixxer Brah, has posted several similar videos from different parts of the country. He is wanted on charges of menacing, participating in a speed contest, reckless endangerment, reckless driving, speeding over the limit, displaying speed and driving without license plates.

β€œThis is an extreme example, but unfortunately a real example,” said State Patrol Sgt. said Troy Kessler. β€œIf you drive like that, you can expect to be arrested if you are located. This is the best outcome for someone who drives violently, as the slightest mistake could result in his death or that of an innocent person nearby.”

The State Patrol coordinated with the Dallas Police Department in Texas and the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office in Colorado to identify the rider as Dietzmann, whose place of birth was not released.

Investigators say numerous drivers and online viewers contacted the Colorado State Patrol about the incident.
