YouTube has reinstated Donald Trump’s ban after a two-year suspension.
The Google-owned platform lifted the ban in place since the January 6, 2021 Capitol riot as the 2024 campaign gets underway.
Leslie Miller, YouTube’s vice president of public policy, said Friday that Trump can now upload videos to his channel, which has 2.5 million followers.
Trump has also been allowed back on Facebook and Instagram following his suspension over his comments when a mob stormed the Capitol in 2021.

He also recovered on Twitter, but didn’t post and opted to use Truth Social.
In a post on his favorite social media site on Thursday, he said the US, not Russia or China, is the “greatest threat to Western civilization.”
YouTube initially dumped Trump because he feared he would incite violence.
Initially, he was suspended for only seven days, which was then extended to two years.
For his most recent videos, Trump has often uploaded them to Rumble.
The last video uploaded to his YouTube channel was a 46-minute White House speech alleging that the election was rigged.
Titled “This may be the most important speech I’ve ever given,” he refused to admit defeat to Joe Biden and outlined the legal battle underway to overturn the vote.
“We were warned for months leading up to the presidential election not to declare a premature victory,” Trump said. “We were told repeatedly that it would take weeks if not months to determine the winner, count absentee ballots and verify declarations.”
