A mother of three has claimed she is constantly mistaken for her 15-year-old daughter – saying she even had ID to buy a hamster.
Nina Dixon, who is actually 31, from Darwen, Lancashire, said people are stunned to discover she is a mother to Millie, 15, Keaton, 11, and 10-month-old baby Harmony.
And the student nurse — who got Millie when she was 16 years old — said people constantly think she’s Millie’s twin sister instead of her mother.
Her youthful appearance means she has to bring her ID every night, and she was even asked her age when trying to buy a hamster.
Nina, explaining that she sometimes looks like “a little girl,” said, “It’s frustrating, but sometimes it can be flattering to know I still look young.”
Like sisters: Nina attributes her youthful appearance to genetics, saying she was mistaken for a student at her children’s school (pictured, with her daughter)

Nina said she thinks she’s being mistaken for her children’s sister because she had them so young.
About having Millie when she was just 16, she said, “People said I wouldn’t mean anything.
“It was hard to hear and it stayed with me for a long time.”
But Nina became a mother and gave birth to her second child, Keaton, in February 2011.
When Nina first got pregnant at 16, some people said she wouldn’t mean anything – comments that ‘stayed with her for a long time’
Now Nina has a daughter, Harmony Nelson, with her partner, Jacob Nelson, 27, a business development manager.
“People are always shocked when I say I have a 15- and 11-year-old because they say I look early 20s,” she said.
“When Keaton was just seven and in year three, other parents thought I was a student too.
‘It can be frustrating, but I mainly see the positive sides.’
Nina said, ‘People think I’m Millie’s sister all the time and now that my son has made it, it’s happening to him too.

“I went to buy a hamster for my son a few years ago and the assistant asked if there was a parent with us.
“I laughed it off when I said I was their mother, but he kept asking for ID because he didn’t believe me.
Nina attributes her youthful appearance to genetics, explaining, “My mom has always looked good for her age, so I think it runs in the family.”
And she also thinks that being small has something to do with it.
Despite being a mother of three, Nina is often mistaken for her oldest Millie’s sister, pictured, now 15
“I think people think I’m young because I’m really short — I’m a 6-foot and a 60,” she said.
She added: “I look like a little girl sometimes.
“When I’m with my mom in her sixties and the kids, people think we’re all her kids.”
Nina says her most embarrassing moments were when she had to show her ID before buying a glue gun, and being mistaken for a student at her child’s parents’ evening.
