Your Average Bear combines Metal Gear Solid and Untitled Goose Game

I am a simple gamer with modest taste. When I see a game about a big friendly bear, I click. What if that game is completely free and I can use that bear as a craft to cause mayhem? I’m definitely on board. Your average bear was created by students at the University of Utah as part of a capstone game design course and is notable for its clever combination of stealth tactics (which Solid Snake would be proud of) and a special howler button (which scares campers and makes me feel strong).

Your average bear has the following feature list:

A comedic take on the stealth genre

Unique abilities with a bear and wildlife theme

Unique bear and nature themed food delivery app (only 1)

A fun, low-poly, simplified art style

It

Sure enough, the bear is the star of the show. He’s pleasantly chubby and it’s a pleasure to watch him jog gently around the campsites. If the bear encounters a normal camper, they will cower in fear, and I can stand over them and press my roar button to establish dominance. The other animals in the park, impressed by my size and speed, have asked me to get them a treat of their choice. I’m the neighborhood’s Ubear Eats!

The problem is those pesky rangers; they have sleeping darts and prefer that I leave the people alone. It’s a grudge that dates back to the primal bear ancestor Yogi Bear, and I must use a selection of tools to stop them. I can throw rocks at beehives, throw banana peels, and hide in plain sight by artfully standing still while letting some tree branches bloom. Ezio Auditor Who? I only support Your average bear‘s stealth skills.

This is a very small game, but it is free and the developer accepts feedback for the final product. If you want Untitled goose gameor just cause trouble for park rangers, Your average bear is definitely worth a try.
