A New Jersey father was found dead on a conveyor belt at a recycling plant.

The body of Nicholas Holsten, 35, was found at the Republic Services recycling plant in Farmingdale.

Workers at the factory were sorting materials on September 4 when they made the horrific discovery.

Police were called to the scene at 2:42 p.m. An investigation into the circumstances of his death has been ongoing since then, but no further details have been released.

Holsten, originally from Leesburg, was the father of one son and an uncle.

“Nick was known for his adventurous spirit and his sense of humor, which always made everyone laugh,” his obituary reads.

‘He will be remembered for his crazy personality, outrageous jokes and his true love for drawing.

‘Nick enjoyed making special drawings for those he loved. Nick loved music, he often wore earphones and listened to his favorite songs.

“Nick skateboarded as a little kid and he kept that passion going his whole life. He leaves behind a legacy of creativity, joy and smiles.”

His girlfriend McKennah Gudegon also paid tribute and expressed her shock at the loss.

“You were so funny and so cheerful, you always had something funny to say, you know, you were such a good kid,” she wrote.
