Young Chelsea fan holds up brutal sign telling Mauricio Pochettino’s flops he ‘DOESN’T want their shirts’ during 5-0 Arsenal drubbing, before captain Conor Gallagher responds to it at full-time

A young Chelsea fan gave a scathing assessment of their players by holding up a sign saying he doesn’t want their shirts.

The supporter raised the sign during Chelsea’s miserable 5-0 defeat to London rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Premier League leaders Arsenal went on a rampage as former Chelsea star Kai Havertz and Ben White both grabbed a brace after Leandro Trossard opened the scoring four minutes into the match.

During the match, the supporter held up the sign with images of the Chelsea kit, which read: ‘I don’t want your shirt.

Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher was asked about the sign during his post-match press appearance.

In response to a question about the sign suggesting Chelsea players don’t work hard enough, he said: ‘Well, we’re certainly trying our best.

“I know how much it means to all the boys, I know it’s been said many times: it’s a very young team with not much experience as a team in the Premier League.

“We’ve had a lot of ups and downs and we’re still improving and working together as a team to get to the next level.

“Today was one of those days where we weren’t around. We need to dust ourselves off and also look at performance and where we can improve and any mistakes, where we can put it right and move on to the next one.”

The sign also caught the attention of Chelsea fans on social media.

One said: ‘The sign a fan held at tonight’s game says it all… FIGHT FOR THE SHIRT!’

Another commented: “That sign the boy was holding broke me even more. Lower your head in shame Chelsea.”

It caps off a disappointing few days for the Blues, who lost 1-0 to Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-finals after squandering many chances throughout the match.

Cole Palmer scored four times for Chelsea in a 6-0 win over Everton but even that was perhaps overshadowed after Noni Madueke and Nicolas Jackson argued they should take a penalty before the England international, who is the Blues’ designated penalty taker.

The heavy defeat to Arsenal leaves Chelsea in ninth place in the standings, although they are still just three points clear of sixth-placed Newcastle with six games left to play.
